Our Project Risk team helps identify underlying project risks, seeks to prevent project failures before they occur, empowers business change management and enhances project performance outcomes.

It is an exciting time to join our team. The team is growing, with a large portfolio of work both in QLD and nationally. We are recognised for a service that delivers timely, pragmatic and insightful advice that assists our clients in delivering successful programs, and for being easy to work with. Our team are developing innovative approaches to assurance, leveraging our research, experience and proven methodologies.

About you

You are an experienced Manager/Director who is passionate about helping clients successfully deliver large scale programs and projects. You will also have demonstrated capability in helping organisations improve their project delivery and performance outcomes.

You must bring a practical knowledge of project management and, preferably, risk management. You will have appropriate tertiary qualifications (Prince 2, PMBOK, Agile or equivalents) with experience successfully leading in project environments. We will expect strong communication skills, a highly organised approach and proven project management and leadership capability.

Experience in consulting or professional services will be an advantage as well as industry experience gain in government agencies and/ or private sector organisations (such as energy & resources or financial services) is desirable.

About the role

This challenging role will see you:

  • Work as a member of our project assurance team, providing effective delivery of engagements
  • Consistently display exceptional client service
  • Promote and enforce compliance with mandated professional practices and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Deloitte's leading edge tools and methodologies
  • Assess the ability of IT projects to meet the organisational objectives and mitigate risk.
  • Communicate with impact to a diverse range of clients, both in meetings and through formal reports
  • Perform/assist with growing the business. This includes commitment to your own development, coaching and developing others, and developing strong relationships with our clients.
