About the team
Our M&A Transaction Services team make sellers’ lives easier by providing due diligence information, transaction related accounting and tax advice, reviewing sale and purchase agreements. Our supportive team turns clients’ frustration into assurance with sophisticated and tailored M&A advice. Our clients include Australian private and listed corporates, global enterprises, private equity firms and Government.

Our Sydney based team regularly draws on the capabilities of our colleagues in other parts of M&A and from across the firm to provide multi-disciplinary insights to our clients, supporting them throughout the transaction lifecycle. This is enhanced by our embedded data analytics platform, iDeal, within our core offering that provides detailed insights for both our corporate and private equity clients.

What impact have we made?
As a part of our team, you will share with us in our proudest moments.

  • We helped an association of prominent Asian private equity and investment firms acquire a large consumer product business. We performed analysis of maintainable earnings, organic growth, recent revenue & cost trends and assisted in accounting aspects of the SPA
  • We helped one of the world’s largest infrastructure fund managers to acquire a renewable energy business with assets across Asia Pacific. This involved advising on all facets of the transaction (i.e. financial & tax diligence, modelling analysis around cash extraction, SPA negotiation and deal structuring).

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are an accounting / finance professional with:

  • An Undergraduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Post graduate qualification (eg. CA, CPA, CFA, MBA or Masters in Applied Finance)
  • Structured thinking style with analytical and financial skills to support complex transactions
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • Experience in performing financial due diligence assignments in a transaction environment or business combination experience gained through the audit of acquisitive businesses
