About the role

• Join a team of motivated and enthusiastic engineers to providing cloud infrastructure support to various customers in a broad range of industries

• Protect and improve reliability and availability of the environments we support
• Help drive technical improvements to our customer’s platforms and environments
• Protect your customer’s solutions including availability and service level compliance across a portfolio of accounts across multiple industries and geographies
• Form strong working relationships with both staff and customer stakeholders
• Support and Maintain flexible and automated cloud infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure as code principles and tooling
• Automation of system deployments and configuration management
• Technical analysis and problem investigation in relation to software platforms at the Container Virtualisation, Host OS and Cloud Infrastructure layers.
• Platform and Infrastructure configuration for both the implementation of changes and resolution of problems as required
• Analysis, tracking and monitoring of technical issues including regular reporting and escalation where required
• Platform and Infrastructure system monitoring utilising a variety of modern tools including event and log managers
• Transition of solutions from project to operational phase
• QA of solutions with regard to operational readiness

About you


• Experience supporting Windows infrastructure technologies and VMWare. Certification in these technologies highly desired.
• Cloud infrastructure experience including AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Backup Technologies such as AWS Backup and Recovery and Veeam
• Comfort with a command line including some Linux or Unix skills
• Highly organised
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills, particularly in regards to stakeholder management (internal and external)
• Can-do attitude
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Remedy
• ITIL V3 certification desirable
• Available to be on-call after hours from time-to-time for which you will receive additional compensation
• Experience in supporting in-house developed solutions advantageous
• Security experience or certifications particularly around cloud platforms highly desired.
• Experience with operational tools around logging, monitoring and event management highly regarded.
• Ability leading small teams or projects
• Capability to mentor and influence more junior staff
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
