Global Strategic Account Consultant - 12 month FTC


You will be a key member of the Strategic Clients team at Deloitte. Working closely with the Global Lead Client Service Partner, Strategic Account Manager and Client Service Team you will focus on:

  • Delivering distinctive experiences
  • Driving premium growth
  • Shaping and informing client strategy

About the role:

You will play a critical role in bringing technical excellence in client experience and account management to the firm’s top client accounts. The day-to-day priorities of this role may vary depending on the maturity of the account as well as firm and market dynamics.
Key activities include:

  • Account Operations
    • Driving excellence in account operations through bringing discipline and rigour
    • Keeping client experience at the centre of account team purpose and engagement
    • Preparing account pre-reading material and financial snapshots
    • Driving content for, and production of, regular communications - including the teamsite
  • Client Experience
    • Supporting designing, embedding and delivering, distinct client experiences
    • Designing, setting-up and participating in, client workshops
  • Strategy and Planning
    • Supporting with driving and enabling the account vision and strategy
    • Developing a client account narrative that is focused on client experience and sustainable revenue growth
    • Sharing insights on clients, industries and the competitive landscape
    • Mapping executive relationships within the account and supporting the development of strategic relationship plans
  • Sales and Business Development
    • Supporting in the management of the opportunity pipeline
    • Supporting the production of proposal documents and/or pitch presentations

About you:

This role reports into the Global Strategic Account Manager whilst collaborating with the wider team. You must have demonstrable experience in account management, operating within and preferably managing, a complex client service team. You will also need a proven track record of being a key member of a high-performing team.

  • Experience working within a complex matrix structure
  • The ability to respectfully challenge senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and present concepts convincingly to a wide cross-section of stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making ability and capacity to exercise sound judgement and diplomacy
  • Strong commercial business acumen and the ability to understand relevant markets and sectors
  • Enthusiasm, resilience, pragmatism and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential
