Deloitte GES - Senior Analyst


Our Global Mobility Tax team provides specialist expatriate tax advisory services on a diverse range of transactions for clients. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from high performing and ambitious Senior Analyst to work with our VIP clients. Working in the Global Mobility Tax team involves an international environment and global cooperation.

You will have the opportunity to work with our larger Global Employer Services (GES) practise to apply your technical knowledge on areas such as employment taxes, ESS and wider global mobility consulting to ensure our clients implement and manage a successful international assignment program.

We help our clients with this complex challenge through our extensive knowledge of tax laws and utilising our specialised compliance and consulting skills and software. Through coordinating various elements related to a globally mobile workforce you will be able to learn and implement effective policies and procedures for regulatory compliance.

As a Senior Analyst within Deloitte’s Global Mobility Tax team, your role will be varied and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing international assignment consulting and compliance services across a range of clients and matters relating to expatriate tax consulting, ensuring they are in compliance with home country tax obligations, including reviewing individual income tax returns
  • Maintain quality control on assignments and projects
  • Contributing to training and development across the team
  • Promoting the use of best practice and technology solutions across the GES practice
  • Project management and delivery of multiple client engagements, including, identification of issues and opportunities, research and preparation of advice

About you
Coming from a Big 4, top-tier legal or mid-tier accounting firm you will be looking to take that next step in further developing your technical expertise and leadership skills. You will be open to change and transformation and you will develop to your full potential in championing various projects. Other attributes and skills include:

  • Global mobility advisory, including tax advisory and corporate policy development
  • Australian individual income tax compliance and advisory
  • Tax equalisation concepts
  • Dealing with the application of International Tax Agreements
  • Advising clients on their employment tax obligations arising from their globally mobile workforce
  • Experience in Compensation Accumulation or Employee Share Plans would also be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, keen desire for knowledge, multi-tasking and strong in project management
