About the role

In this critical position you will utilise your professional engineering skills to assist in the ongoing improvement of RCM based maintenance programs. You will contribute to the development of shutdown cycles that maximise plant availability and minimise unplanned downtime, and coordinate projects related to equipment reliability. This role will support the Fertiliser operations to deliver manufacturing and cost targets through reliable plant operation.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Developing and coordinating RCM and condition monitoring programmes for rotating equipment;
  • Optimising spare parts requirements;
  • Developing and maintaining plant systems and procedures relating to equipment monitoring;
  • Participating in equipment failure investigations; and
  • Providing technical assistance to maintenance and operations teams.

Do you have the following skills & experience?

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with extensive reliability engineering experience. Materials handling experience will be highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership skills and able to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the company.
