Corporate Advisory Senior Analyst

About the role
Our Advisory team applies core finance and accounting knowledge in an advisory context to assist our clients in enabling the success of their finance function. The Corporate Advisory business specifically advise large and mid-size corporate businesses on areas including the effectiveness of the finance function, finance process and performance improvement through the use of technology and large accounting transactions advice across a wide range of industries.

As the Corporate Advisory team experiences an exciting period of growth in Melbourne we are keen to speak with Senior Analysts who are passionate to build successful careers.

We deliver insights to CFOs and their teams utilising data and technology where possible through a range of projects, including:

  • Month-end close & automation, including end to end reporting process improvement
  • Enabling finance process improvement and implementing best practices using benchmarks
  • Resolving complex accounting issues
  • Developing product and customer profitability methodology
  • Developing robust management reporting/dashboards
  • Supporting finance with key transactions through mergers, de-mergers, acquisitions and disposals

About you
Your role as a Senior Analyst will see you take responsibility for providing support to Managers and Directors in the delivery of client service, developing strong internal and external networks, coaching and training junior team members and managing client relations on a day to day basis in the advisory business.
You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills coupled with experience leading a team and being proactive with market development. With previous experience in Professional Services, external audit and potentially also some commercial experience within an Accounting function at a Management level you will be able to position yourself as a trusted advisor to your clients. In addition you will require:

  • An Accounting or Finance degree
  • CA qualification or the equivalent
  • Previous exposure to finance functions would be viewed favourably
  • Strong technical accounting skills
