This role primarily involves assisting the Investment Tax team with the management of taxes within the Cbus Investment team, ensuring that the investment portfolio is structured in the most efficient manner to deliver appropriate net of tax outcomes for members and, ensure tax risks are addressed and mitigated.
The Investment Tax team encompasses oversight across the Australian and global taxation of the investments function for Cbus. It will also involve substantial interaction with the both the Investment Management and Investment Services and Solutions teams, with respect to, amongst other matters, transaction support. This role will also include significant collaboration with the broader Cbus organization including the Finance team who manage the Fund’s overall tax position and the Risk team who manages the overall tax risk of the organisation.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience Australian Tax experience within a large accounting firm. You will be tertiary qualified in a relative discipline and have a solid understanding of taxation and superannuation legislation.
Your solid analytical skills and ability to persist with tasks that require a high attention to detail will stand you in good stead with strong communication skills where you will be required to present views well in written and verbal form.
