What Success looks like:

Bankwest are seeking Avoka Platform Engineers to work as part of a platform team, defining the best practices and management of this technology to create amazing customer experiences.

Avoka is a new technology at Bankwest and you will help shape the expansion of this technology solution across the organisation. We are looking for UX and UI specialists, front end developers and CMS wizards who are keen to help leverage this platform.

Your responsibilities:

  • Development and sharing of best practice in utilising the platform across the organisation
  • Development and configuration of common components within the platform
  • Ongoing maintenance and support of the platform, including upgrades and platform optimisation
  • Working alongside the vendor to influence the development of the platform into the future
  • Quality Assurance for the platform including development of automated tests and build scripts
  • Working collaboratively with the other developers both within your team and across multiple other squads
  • Be an active member of a cross functional team willing to fulfil any role to achieve the goal of the iteration

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in Web Development
  • Experience with UX techniques and collaborative practises
  • Experience in Web Testing including automation
  • Applicants must be highly motivated and energetic with an ability to inspire and motivate others, whilst balancing the need to drive business outcomes

Desirable:

  • Experience with the Avoka Platform
  • Previous experience working in Agile delivery environment
  • Some experience with REST APIs
  • Experience writing automated tests in JUnit
  • Experience with automated build tools such as Maven, TeamCity or Octopus Deploy
