Transport Planning Engineer

With a need to grow due to a renewed emphasis on transport planning, we are seeking a full-time Transport Planner/Engineer to join our Queensland transport planning team, based in our Brisbane office. Your responsibilities will include the following, subject to your level of experience:

  • Planning and managing transport planning projects, including client liaison, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, commissioning cost estimates, technical documentation (drawings and reports) project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Preparation of strategic and technical reports
  • Project Management
  • Interaction with external and internal clients
  • Contribution to and development of project tenders
  • Ensuring your work is delivered to exemplary quality standards
  • Advocating, innovating, forecasting transport trends

The successful Transport Planner/Engineer will have:

  • Qualification in Transport Planning, Economics, Engineering or equivalent
  • CPEng/RPEQ (or eligible for RPEQ status) (desirable)
  • Proven experience on Australian or international transport projects
  • Commitment and demonstrated ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams with relevant stakeholders
  • A strong team ethic and a drive to deliver high quality outputs
  • Well-developed time management and organisation skills.
  • Succinct and accurate report writing and formal reporting skills (desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of multi-modal transport modelling techniques and software (desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of principles of transport economics (eg. CBA inputs from transport models) (desirable)
