Senior Facade Engineer

Aurecon’s Built Environment team provides expertise across many key markets, including Commercial and Residential Properties, Defence, Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Education, and Health. We are currently inviting applications from Senior Facade Consultants / Specialists / Engineers with a strong knowledge in facade systems, materials and performance requirements to join our high performing team working on landmark projects in Melbourne and around the region. Experience in the Victorian market whilst preferred is not essential. This role will be offered on a permanent staff basis with outstanding career development opportunity.

Our current projects include super high-rise Australia 108, Zaha Hadid Tower on Collins Street, Melbourne Square, Queens Place Tower, Sapphire by the Gardens Adelaide Casino, West Gate Tunnel, Christchurch Convention Centre, Hobart Crowne Plaza Hotel, Monash University TED, Australian Embassy Washington, Epworth Freemason Hospital and Equinix Data Centre.

To be successful in the position, you will need to demonstrate: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a client facing role dealing with Developers, Architects, fellow Consultants, Builders, Facade Specialist Contractors and Suppliers.
  • Experience in developing designs for facades systems for curtainwall, cladding and skylights.
  • Proficiency in hand sketches, writing technical specifications, reports or analysis.
  • Competency in verifying facade shop drawings, calculations, performance test mock ups and factory and site inspections.
  • A passion for developing and mentoring junior professionals.
