About the role:

Aurecon has created a new role within our business for an experienced Property & Procurement Manager for Australia & New Zealand.  Reporting directly to our Group Financial Controller, this newly created position will be responsible for ensuring both strategic & operational requirements not only for our Property Portfolio, but also across key categories, including:

  • Travel & Fleet
  • Procurement
  • Vendor Management
  • Records Management.

To be successful in this position you will ideally be degree qualified from Business background and able to demonstrate a successful approach to the implementation of operational & strategic initiatives around the majority of the above mentioned categories.

The requirements of the position will include:

  • Establish systems and process to ensure effective and efficient management of the ANZ office property portfolio, car fleet, travel, procurement and supply chain management (non-IT)
  • Develop, manage and monitor the property, lease agreements and major maintenance budgets
  • Lead reviews to identify and priorities procurement opportunities (targeted savings, key commercial terms, RFP’s, supplier negotiations, etc.) ensuring a fair and efficient bidding process, clear communication, and optimum bidder selection.
  • Play a key role in implementing a procure to pay process across the business and other strategic initiatives to streamline the size of the vendor pool and drive all procurement through preferred supplier arrangements
  • Establish and implement a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) model including the use of specialised, dedicated resources, regular audits / validations & reviews
  • Conducting major contract negotiations on behalf of the Company and the development of legally binding contracts covering performance issues and on costs, timing and quality of supplies
  • Ensuring that goods, materials and services are procured in accordance with specified requirements in relation to quality, quantity, promptness and achieving value for money solutions
