Project Accountant

Your Role

Our Project Finance function provides high quality project support services to Project Leaders to enable improved project management and financial tracking.

In this role you will support Project Leaders and Commercial Managers through day-to-day assistance with tasks related to project such as but not limited to creation, maintenance, billings, revenue, cash position and project analysis.

This is a pivotal role, ideally suited to someone who pride themselves on attention to detail, a proactive, client-focussed individual with a flair for communication across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the key business partner the leadership team by providing project finance support, your role will include:

  • Maintenance of Project Master File including project initiation, project maintenance and change order management
  • Work with Project Leaders (PLs) to ensure correct project position in term of costings actual and forecast is updated
  • Preparation of Revenue Recognition in collaboration with PLs
  • Support the billing process, including generating prebills, billing maintenance and invoice generation
  • Liaise with Commercial Managers when managing client data
  • Perform transaction maintenance
  • Assist PLs to understand the collections process and related activities in BST
  • Drive positive working capital outcomes and provide regular insights to regional leadership
  • Liaise with and support key stakeholders across the business
  • Ensure that any contractual requirements relating to the financial control of projects are adhered to
  • Keep abreast of best practice procedures & ensure compliance with Corporate business procedures (governance)

About You 

We are interested in hearing from those with an accounting or financial administration background and excellent knowledge of project financial management and project lifecycle. This role is ideally suited to those with high levels of attention to detail, first-rate problem-solving skills and the ability to engage and build relationships across the business.

Proficient use of Microsoft Excel to analyse and reconcile data is a must.
