Expressions of Interest - Planning Consultant (Town Planning)

In response to significant and growing activities in our Perth Office, our Environment and Planning team, which is positioned within a Global Advisory directorate is now seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and highly motivated Planning Consultants.

Your role will primarily involve providing support to our busy Telecommunications group and assisting with approvals and related consultation. Activities include the preparation and lodgement of development applications with an emphasis on visual landscape assessment, stakeholder engagement including the coordination of community information sessions and deputations to local government, as well as management of relevant telecommunication industry codes in the acquisition of new base station sites.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have relevant degree qualification or equivalent
  • Be experienced in Statutory Planning / Zoning Approvals processes
  • Have a strong knowledge of development applications
  • Have a passion for planning and making a difference
  • Enjoy liaising with community groups and other stakeholders
  • Understand visual landscape assessment techniques and reporting
  • Be willing to work in the field and undertake travel as required
  • Hold a C Class licence

We are seeking candidates who possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who are self-motivated focussed professionals with proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a broader team with diverse expertise.

Knowledge of GIS systems and database management and/or previous Telecommunications Carrier approvals experience would be highly regarded.
