Director / Principal – Program Advisory - NSW

With current project portfolio plus a healthy pipeline of opportunities we are continuing to invest in our Advisory offering by seeking to engage a Regional Service Line Leader for our Program Advisory group in NSW. This appointment will underpin our commitment to developing and growing an already busy global Advisory team in Sydney.

To deliver on an increasing workload and a robust future growth strategy this role calls for a talented project management practitioner operating in a Principal / Directorship level to lead the Program Advisory services in NSW. The preferred candidates will have worked in a Project Management or Program Management capacity for the government or private sectors, ideally within a similar professional services or consultancy environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Contribute to the leadership and growth of the Program Advisory services team
  • Full P&L responsibility of the NSW team consisting of circa 40 people
  • Develop and foster relationships with key and global clients
  • Lead project management tasks of high complexity to meet client requirements
  • Contribute to the growth and diversity of the global Program Advisory competency
  • Responsible for the compliance to company policies and procedures, legislative requirements and act as a role model for Aurecon’s values and behaviours
  • Demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of Aurecon’s business

Key Tasks

  • Leadership of staff including recruitment, team management and mentoring
  • Growing a program and project management services business to meet the client project needs of an expanding market
  • Client engagement and relationship management at a senior level
  • Business development locally and globally in conjunction with the relevant Competency Leaders
  • Technical leadership including project management, financial management, resource management and management of technical and commercial risk
  • Advanced communication skills and an appreciation of teamwork
  • The ability to produce accurate and detailed work
