Civil / Roads Engineer - PERTH

We are currently looking for a Civil Roads Engineer to work from our Perth office to be involved in a range of civil infrastructure projects. In addition to offering your technical expertise, you will be involved in engaging with clients to further strengthen relationships.

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
  • Proven knowledge and experience in road / highway, intersection and roundabout geometric design, preferably in WA
  • A working knowledge of ancillary road design elements (safety barriers, road signs and markings, noise walls, pedestrian/cycle paths, lighting and ITS items, public transport provision etc.)
  • An appreciation of road drainage design and the interaction between road and road drainage design
  • An appreciation of geotechnical and pavement design inputs associated with road design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation of engineering designs, specifications and technical report writing
  • Proven ability to liaise professionally with Clients
  • Strong ability to deliver appropriate engineering solutions within a specified time frame
  • Demonstrated exposure to transport project delivery within the WA market, in particular Main Roads WA projects
  • Excellent understanding of relevant Australian Standards and Main Roads WA guidelines
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team

You will be a suitably qualified Civil Roads Engineer and be able to communicate ideas successfully and collaborate with clients and colleagues to achieve project goals. Good experience in the WA transport market, in particular with the delivery of Main Roads WA projects, will be an advantage to assist in developing client relationships and winning new packages of work.
