We are looking for multiple Dental Assistant's/Receptionists to join our busy 8 chair practice in Surry Hills on a casual basis. Our DA’s assist across the entire spectrum of general dentistry maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring instrument sterilisation within the Teachers Health Centre. You will also need to be able to work within our busy front of house team, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental stream under the DPM’s guidance. You’ll manage front-of-house tasks such as invoicing, treatment receipts, and appointment bookings.
 
Our centre is open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm and Saturdays 8.30am-2.30pm.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 12 months experience in Dental Assisting and Dental Reception
  • Strong knowledge and application of infection control processes
  • A positive and professional communication style
  • Dental Assisting Cert III or equivalent is beneficial
  • Previous experience with Oasis is beneficial
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service and to go above and beyond for our members
  • A positive can-do attitude and able to work well in a team

Some of your key responsibilities would be:

  • Deliver comprehensive, high quality dental assistance to dentists
  • Complete all dental activities in line with Infection Control policy and procedures including work in the sterilizing room & in the lab areas
  • Comply with Australian Dental Association (ADA) legislation and policies;
  • Complete the daily activities of reception, responsible for the efficient delivery of customer service
  • Schedule appointments for patients and efficient maintenance of the appointment scheduler
  • Confirm patients for upcoming appointments
  • Efficient and effective completion of any/all tasks delegated by the DPM, SDM or Clinical Director for the progress/operation of the dental stream
  • Contribute to the effective operations of Teachers Dental and Health Centres including relieving other team members as required
