Media Specialist

As Media Specialist you will keep ahead of digital advertising trends, using marketing automation and working in close collaboration with Media, Marketing & International Business teams to optimise HCF media campaigns based on the data and insights.

The HCF International Business unit is dedicated to supporting non-resident individuals in Australia through tailored health insurance solutions, primarily via Overseas Visitors Health Cover (OVHC). This includes visitors, temporary workers, and other non-student visa holders who are generally not eligible for Medicare, Australia’s public healthcare system.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Media Specialist will support the broader media team by reporting on media data, performance, and insights, and assisting in the delivery of International Business campaigns to market. Reporting to the Media Manager, you will be responsible for campaign and performance reporting through media platforms, CRM, and sales dashboards, and for pulling out actionable insights and recommendations that drive the success of International Business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of media plans across the full funnel, including analysis, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as the day-to-day agency liaison to deliver regular reporting and analysis of campaigns and media performance.
  • Identify and test data enhancements and audience segmentation initiatives.
  • Use multiple data sources to tell a cohesive story around media and business performance to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of digital advertising trends and use marketing automation.
  • Collaborate closely with Media, Marketing, and International Business teams to optimize media campaigns based on data and insights.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in digital advertising/marketing or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience working across full funnel media campaigns, with a specialty in digital performance marketing, monitoring, reporting, and optimization of campaigns.
  • Experience with tech platforms such as the Google stack (SA360, DV360, CM), Facebook Ads Manager, and Adobe Advertising Cloud.
  • Strong agency and stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, including multitasking and working under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to think independently and initiate suggestions for improvement where suitable.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player who encourages collaboration.

Desirable:

  • Experience in digital performance media (SEM, Social, Affiliates, Display).
  • Salesforce CRM experience.
  • Knowledge of all media channels (e.g., TV, OOH, Radio, Online Video, Social, Search), with a key specialty in digital performance media.
  • Results-driven and solution-focused.
  • Pride in the work/tasks given.
