Lending Analyst


RACQ Bank is hiring! We have a role for an Analyst to join a team of banking professionals. As the Lending Analyst, you will lead and support the Bank’s lending teams with operational reporting, insights and analysis, identifying opportunities for sales, process and product improvements. Reporting to the Head of Lending Product Operations and Distribution, you will assist in gathering insights and assist in reviewing governance structures, policies and frameworks.

Your key duties will be to:

  • Develop analytic solutions to identify and communicate potential performance improvements, reduce costs, increase revenue resilience, mitigate business risks, KPI monitoring and performance reporting, and optimise processes.
  • Gathering, structuring, and analysing lending data using reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Cognos and Tableau.
  • Maintain high data quality standards by ensuring information captured in the relevant systems and documentation are correct and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Working in partnership with RACQ business areas to identify opportunities to leverage data to support the business in meeting its key performance objectives.
  • Providing expert advice and services as a trusted business partner, ensuring the delivery of quality solutions and the strengthening of relationships.


About you

We are looking for a self-starting analyst, who is able to hit the ground running within our Lending team. Ideally you will have some experience within Financial Services industry within a similar lead or analytics role. To be considered for the role, ideally you will bring the following:

  • At least 1-3 years’ experience within Analytics, or financial services related role.
  • Proficiency in MS suite, specifically in advanced MS Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and business partnering skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail lending products.
  • Experience with SQL or other database programming languages desired but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
