Your new role
We are seeking a System Administrator to join our Canberra Defence Support Team. Our team supports various applications, including Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) applications, MS SharePoint, MS Dynamics, and Adobe products (AEM).
Your supported suite of applications will encompassing various Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software, as well as Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics.
As a Subject Matter Expert, you would be expected to not only possess advanced technical skills but also demonstrate leadership qualities, mentorship abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation and excellence in your field of expertise.
This role is based onsite in Canberra, ACT. There is also a rotating on-call roster.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- At least five years of relevant work experience in industry
- Extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving complex software and performance issues across heterogeneous environments, employing advanced troubleshooting methodologies and performance tuning techniques to ensure optimal system performance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automating routine tasks, orchestrating complex workflows.
- Ability to perform comprehensive capacity planning assessments and design scalable infrastructures to accommodate future growth and evolving business needs.
Due to the nature of the role, you hold a current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) Australian Government security clearance.
