Role Overview:

We're seeking an intermediate to senior-level Hydraulic & Fire Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will have a strong background in both wet and dry fire systems, with experience across various sectors including infrastructure, commercial, education, retail, industrial, and critical systems. Whether you're ready to hit the ground running or are a seasoned professional managing your own projects, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, and document Hydraulic / Fire Services projects, with a focus on Fire Protection systems.
  • Lead Hydraulic and Fire Protection projects and teams, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and authorities.
  • Work on projects from early design through to construction, ensuring compliance with construction codes, standards, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as Structural, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical, to integrate Fire Protection systems seamlessly.
  • Utilise software tools like Revit and AutoCAD for project design and documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and experience with Australian codes and standards relevant to Hydraulic and Fire Services.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related building discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years in Australian building services, ideally within the consulting realm.
  • Extensive experience navigating complex hydraulic and fire services engineering, from conceptualisation to construction completion.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and the National Code of Construction.
  • Previous experience using Revit / AutoCAD for local projects is advantageous.
  • CP Eng / RBP accreditation is highly desirable.
  • Skilled at cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Passion for mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience across multiple sectors such as infrastructure, commercial, education, retail, industrial, and critical systems.
