The Project

The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.

The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Key accountabilities for the position

  • Reconciling invoices received against approved dockets and/or approved purchase requisitions and then processing the invoices for payment.
  • Ensuring that invoices are signed off within the Alliance Delegation of Authority Matrix.
  • Follow up suppliers and subcontractors when invoices are not received, or dockets are present with no corresponding invoice
  • Assist on preparation of accruals, ensuring that accruals are only for the reporting period and the remaining are no greater than two (2) months old
  • Ensure compliance with the Security of Payment Act, where applicable
  • Management of Project invoices email inbox, working folders and Finance filing systems.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • 0-1 year of experience in similar functions
  • Demonstrate ability to be efficient, organised and show attention to detail
  • High level of stakeholder engagement in a previous role. 
  • Highly organised and skilled planner
  • Strong at working to procedure
  • Takes initiative and brings innovative ideas
  • Collaborative team player
  • Strong communication skills
