  • ANZ Corporate Advisory is a leading Australian and Asian business. It specialises in providing complex merger and valuation advice to the region’s leading corporates and has a significant track record.  Due to its growing business, it is seeking a successful senior advisor with experience in the Natural Resources sector.
  • Build strategic business relationships to consolidate the broader ANZ relationship, originate and execute transactions in the Natural Resources sector.
  • Delivering advice to clients on strategic and tactical matters, critical commercial judgements and all aspects of transaction execution and working collaboratively with Institutional Industry Groups, other Product Specialists, Corporate Bank and other internal stakeholders to optimise Corporate Advisory’s pipeline of advisory mandates

About The Role

Role Location: 100 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC

Role Type: Permanent Full-time
 

As the Executive Director for National Resources, you will be responsible for the successful growth of the ANZ Corporate Advisory through the origination and execution of profitable and franchise enhancing M&A transactions and strategic advisory services to natural resources clients (energy, metals, mining and commodities sectors).

 
About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline, such as commerce/business, economics, chartered accounting or law.  Further qualifications such as an MBA would be regarded highly
  • Proven years in M&A experience at a leading investment bank, boutique or accounting firm; focus on natural resources sector would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated track record in leading the origination and execution of complex M&A transactions
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management - in particular able to gain the trust and respect of the executive team, owners and boards of directors
  • Highly developed commercial judgement, analytical skills, interpersonal skills (communication and influencing) – experienced strategist, tactician and negotiator
  • Experience in public markets and private treaty transactions
