Advice Assurance Vetting Officer


  • Maintain advice checking processes and procedures to ensure delivery of high quality service in support of business objectives
  • Work with the Manager Advice Quality Review to maintain an effective monitoring and supervision process through the assessment of advice prior to presentation to customers
  • Identify and properly assess and report all issues during Advice Assurance vetting process

About The Role
Role Location: 55 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC
Role Type: Permanent Full-time
 
As an Advice Assurance Vetting Officer, you will be reviewing and assessing the quality of advice prior to presentation to our customers to ensure consistency with internal Standards as well as legislative requirements by applying the pre-vet policy and using a similar methodology that is used by the Advice Assurance Officers. Your focus is on financial planners new to ANZ Financial Planning, planners returning from extended leave, planners who require additional support following an audit and those who have gained a new specialist advice accreditation.
 
The pre-vetting of advice is an important part of our monitoring, supervision and coaching obligations where you will be providing coaching to planners in relation to best practice for the prevention of future compliance issues during post & pre-vet activities and provide comprehensive feedback and relevant reports to planners regarding the vetting Assessment within the required timeframes.
 
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning is a prerequisite
  • Strong Financial Planning, Paraplanning or Vetting experience
  • Excellent understanding of Advice Compliance Issues
  • Tech savvy with high-level communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent personal organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
