Senior Finance Process Analyst

As we continue to move through our transformational journey our Finance team has a newly created role on offer. Reporting into the General Manager Finance Transformation the primary purpose of this role is to work with the Core Transformation Program and the Finance teams to articulate and help formulate the end to end finance processes in conjunction with the risk and compliance management framework.

This role will partner with the business to ensure processes are documented, risks are appropriately identified, controls highlighted and implemented. There will be an opportunity to assist in the business implementation of these newly defined processes across the finance function.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Understanding current as is processes and control points in order to assess the impacts of the project and the potential uplift in broader current state documentation.
  • Preparing detailed process flow diagrams for current state and future state, highlighting the changes and impacts to controls and operational processes.
  • Facilitating workshops to elicit the required information and obtain agreement on new processes.
  • Working with finance, line 1 risk, the business and SME's to identify and agree on the controls on any new of changed processes and monitor the implementation of new controls and/or control improvements as part of the project.
  • Working with the business implementation stream and finance SME's of the Transformation program to assist with process change impacts to finance.
  • Collaborate with Core Transformation Project resources to understand end to end data flow and work to ensure the control environment is sufficient. which may fall outside the direct finance remit but impact finance processes downstream.

Important to your success:

  • Significant experience in a business analyst, process and/or risk and compliance role for a complex, matrixed general insurance or banking organisation.
  • Experience working as part of a project team and preferably in an agile environment.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability with the ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision-making.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
