Reporting into the Senior Risk Assurance Manager the primary purpose of this Line 2 role is to support the design and execution of controls assurance fieldwork and reporting for Allianz Australia and Group.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivery of risk management insights through the implementation of methodology, tools, systems of work for assurance activities supporting appropriate risk-taking by the business.
  • Assisting the Senior Risk Assurance Manager in the development and maintenance of the 2nd Line of Defence controls assurance plan for Allianz Australia Limited which will provide timely and effective insights into the effectiveness of the internal controls environment for Allianz Australia and relevant partners.
  • Executing risk-based controls assurance plan as part of a team and maintain an end to end view of the quality of activity, design and operating effectiveness of controls across Allianz Australia.
  • Coordinating 2nd Line of Defence assurance planning through close liaison with Allianz SE Group, Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit to avoid overlaps and to be able to leverage findings from these areas where possible.
  • Writing and presenting assurance reports to the business, Senior Management and Risk Committees including detailed findings and recommendations and agreed actions by the business.

Important to your success:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in risk management, compliance, internal or external audit for a complex, matrixed financial services or consulting organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting controls assurance fieldwork activities in the management of operational risk and understanding of risk analytics and qualitative and quantative risk measures.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence, positively influencing risk behaviours throughout AAL.
  • Tertiary qualification is highly desired (Business, Legal, Finance or IT will be viewed favourably).
