Systems Accountant


The Systems Accountant provides subject matter expertise to support service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives of group financial systems, and champions ongoing operational governance to ensure strong internal control. Group financial systems includes:

Group financial systems include, SAP S/4 Hana, BW, Blackline, Concur, Westpac and CBA banking platforms.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Be a trustworthy sounding board by providing stewardship, credible advice, support and training for group financial systems in a confident and energetic manner
  • Maintain continued integrity of master data by managing administration processes consistently in line with data standards and business rules
  • Safeguard ongoing reliability of interfaces, and system stability and performance by effectively managing monitoring and maintenance processes, and resolution of any exceptions
  • Support accurate and timely month end close, budgeting & forecasting, and control of ledger and environments
  • Effectively partner with both internal and external stakeholders by providing subject matter expertise

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Accounting background (degree preferred), incorporating strong ERP and BI experience
  • Demonstrated deep and technical knowledge of SAP, BW, and key Finance processes
  • Attention to detail and analytical capability, with proven ability to identify control risks and mitigation of such
  • Strong communicator at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative, outcome focused and positive approach to issue management
