Manager Corporate Real Estate

As the Manager, Corporate Real Estate you will report to the Senior Manager, Property and Security Services within the Group Operations team. Overall, you will be responsible for AGL’s real estate strategy requirements, managing corporate office property projects, and provide support to the Senior Manager, Property and Security Services.

Key to your success will be your relationship management and influence largely to external providers and internal groups to reach good, competitive commercial outcomes and deliverables. You will also enable and oversee the delivery of AGL’s corporate real estate and office requirements across the business and be required to travel to varied corporate sites across Australia.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Management of commercial leasing for AGL’s corporate sites; including acquisitions, disposals, term options/renewals, sub-letting, market rent reviews etc
  • Execution of lease documents relating to corporate real estate
  • Provide recommended strategies in line with space requirements and lease ends as it pertains to corporate real estate
  • Manage the property services CAPEX and deliver associated outcomes for AGL
  • Project manage and provide support to outsourced providers in delivering project outcomes, fit for purpose to AGL
  • Prepare corporate real estate recommendation papers for the AGL Executive Team
  • Maintain a current understanding of environmental regulations, energy efficiency and performance rating for buildings to align with AGL’s sustainability objectives

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Strong relationship building, engagement and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational and commercial management skills – managing planning and budgeting
  • Experience managing and negotiating on complex commercial property agreements, lease agreements and lease renewals
  • Experience overseeing property project delivery teams relating to commercial office expansion or builds
  • Flexibility to travel interstate to corporate sites
  • Bachelor or Commercial Property & Real Estate, Commerce or Property Economics or similar
  • Legal background is advantageous
