Maintenance Contracts Coordinators

About Role:

Our Maintenance Contract Coordinators are responsible for the safe, timely and cost effective coordination and delivery of contract maintenance and works execution activities across a wide range of assets. Within the Contracts Team, these activities will service the needs of AGL Macquarie’s core operational plant including our boilers, turbines, grinding mills, coal ash and dust handling assets as well as several other asset classes. Working within our Facilities and Infrastructure Team, these activities will service the needs of AGL Macquarie’s land, civil and peripheral infrastructure assets, including all shared services and buildings.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • take ownership of contracts and ensure successful execution and delivery of works and services
  • understand the scope and deliverables of a variety of contracts
  • mobilise and effectively communicate and work closely with contractors to achieve agreed outcomes
  • manage HSE requirements of each contract, ensuring all works are undertaken safely, properly and in line with company requirements
  • manage timeframes and budgets of multiple contracts
  • prioritise work to deliver on time and on budget for critical asset, project work and plant maintenance (reliability & repair)
  • identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve required changes
  • build solid relationships with contractors and employees at varying business levels

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • strong experience in Contract Maintenance Management or Project Management within a mining, construction or heavy industrial environment
  • a degree that would qualify for Professional Engineer membership of Engineers Australia OR Advanced Diploma (TAFE) with relevant industry experience OR Trade Qualification with experience in power station maintenance
  • sound experience in developing & managing budgets
  • the ability to interpret, manage and negotiate service delivery
  • excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • change resilience and the ability to be flexible in managing a dynamic workload
  • a demonstrated history of modelling safe and environmentally responsible working behaviours as well as service delivery excellence
  • a positive attitude toward innovation, progressive and adaptive thinking
  • demonstrated knowledge in planning / scheduling
  • demonstrated competency in Microsoft office suite & sound knowledge in SAP
