FP&A Manager, Energy Supply & Origination


An exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is now available within our Group Commercial Finance team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Wholesale Markets, the primary purpose of the role is to lead the FP&A operation for part of the AGL’s Wholesale Markets business unit.

The key responsibilities include delivery of quarterly forecasts and month-end reporting as well as business partnering with the Wholesale Market team, to support their decision making and enable them to deliver on their strategies.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Contribute to the direction and delivery of Wholesale Markets strategy by providing effective and value-add business partnering
  • Provide commercial finance analysis to support Wholesale Markets Energy Supply & Origination team in day to day decision making, including coordination of inputs from other finance teams (e.g. Tax / Corporate Finance / Technical Accounting)
  • Lead the delivery of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts of Wholesale Gas including analysis, interpretation and explanation of major drivers
  • Provide monthly reporting with in-depth analysis of the financial performance of the Wholesale Gas
  • Deliver continuous improvement of financial forecasting processes and outputs, across existing and new datasets and systems as required
  • Manage a team of one, supporting their career development as well as enabling them to deliver their responsibilities successfully
