Cyber Forensics Investigator

A rare opportunity is available for Cyber Forensics Investigators to join our inhouse Forensics team as we are currently building our inhouse forensic capability. This role will see you completing forensic investigations inside of AGL through collecting evidence on both physical and online devices.

This role is an inital 12 month fixed term contract.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Conduct forensics investigations into cyber related incidents within AGL.
  • Collect and analysis digital evidence in case of regulator investigation, legal request or insider investigation.
  • Identify and analyse key pieces of intelligence information to provide expertise on security led forensic investigations, organizational disputes, assisting with legal support.
  • Develop cyber forensics documentation to both AGL and relevant security standards.
  • Engage stakeholders from legal, risk and the business to establish process that span legislation, technology and people.
  • Provide regular status reports on critical cyber forensics incidents to management.

This role is based in Melbourne however, every now and then you may be required to travel to investigate forensic issues at any of our Australian sites.

About you

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Experience with cyber security and digital forensic collection techniques as well as able to work autonomously on forensic investigations.
  • Ability to process and deliver evidence for eDiscovery.
  • Ability to write up technical reports detailing how the computer evidence was discovered and the steps taken during the retrieval process.
  • Hands on experience with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, and/or Nuix.
  • Industry standard certifications such as: CFCE, EnCE, ACE, GIAC, CHFI.
  • Previous experience in large complex technical environments with good knowledge of various networks and systems.
  • Excellent stakeholders engagement skills and able to work in a confidential manner when approaching investigations.
