Communications Manager - Loy Yang


About the Role 

Reporting to the Senior Content and Communication Manager, crucial to this role will be delivering communications that connect people with AGL’s vision, values and business goals in ways that build engagement, pride, community and commitment. As a key member of both Loy Yang and Stakeholder Relations teams, you will work closely with leaders to develop content and communications strategies that support employee engagement and connect people with AGL’s strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing content and communications strategies to communicate clearly with the workforce to improve employee engagement and employee awareness of the business.
  • Supporting key business initiatives and announcements by developing content and communication materials, for example: employee news content, content for social and digital channels, employee town halls, presentations, and media releases.
  • Partnering with business leaders to improve communication outcomes for AGL Loy Yang.
  • Proactively identifying communication gaps and delivering innovative solutions and improvements.
  • Proactively managing potential media issues and providing advice on external messaging.
  • This role is based full time on site at AGL Loy Yang. Alternatively, there is an option of a split between locations -Melbourne based and Loy Yang site (two days).

About You   

To be successful in this role you will enjoy working autonomously with a focus on building engagement across all areas of the site. You will bring:

  • Experience developing and implementing internal communications strategies.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • An understanding and experience of digital media, including intranets and SharePoint would be highly advantageous
