Project Digital Engineering Lead

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for an experienced project Digital Engineering/BIM coordinator to strengthen our Civil Infrastructure Digital Engineering group. In this role you will work across the project team to ensure the DE/BIM goals and requirements are methodically planned, tested, documented and clearly communicated across the project team.

You will be supporting Project Directors, Project Managers, Digital Engineering designers and documenters along with other project personnel; developing BIM execution plans and developing appropriate DE knowledge base for the Civil Infrastructures’ Digital Engineering group.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Generate, implement and manage DE/BIM processes as required on a project by project basis.

  • Run Design Coordinating Meetings, including; assign tasks, deadlines, & ensure the resultant actions are incorporated into the model(s).

  • Processing discipline models for Federation in Navisworks and Revizto, with authoring tools such as: 12D, ArcGIS, InfraWorks, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, MicroStation, .IFC and Revit.

  • Overseeing a CDE (Common Data Environment) including Projectwise and BIM360 Design.

  • Production and Delivery against BIM Plans and briefs etc.

  • Liaising and coordinating with Engineers/Modellers/3 rd party providers on production of Models and drawing documentation.

  • Liaise with AECOM DE/BIM leaders to establish company progression and intended direction.

  • Development, review and ownership of DE/BIM standards, implementation and enforcement, including ongoing staff training/education.

Minimum Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will come from a multi-discipline coordination design/modelling background and have relevant or related diploma or certificate (Architecture, Structural, Civil, and/or Building Services).

  • Experience delivering DE/BIM projects as a DE/BIM Manager and over 8 years construction / design industry experience.

  • Leadership, mentoring and training experience, along with a desire to become a leader in Information Modelling for Lineal Infrastructure.

  • Have previously worked for a multi-discipline engineering consultancy or constructor.
