Communication and Engagement Consultant

Job Summary

Our Brisbane team has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Communication & Engagement Consultant who is excited about engaging stakeholders and local communities on a variety of environmental, infrastructure and urban planning projects across Queensland!

Working as part of our high performing C+E Team, this opportunity with give you the chance to get involved in a wide variety of activities from developing high level communication and engagement strategies through to data collection and analysis, from risk identification and issues management on contentious projects designing community surveys and doing flyer drops.

This role will see you working across multiple projects with a range of stakeholders – you will never get bored and 2 days will never be the same! One day you might be leading and supporting tenders and managing project hotlines, and the next you might be facilitating workshops and community engagement events – this role will see you do it all!

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment (preferably consulting);

  • Passionate about delivering high quality engagement and communication services across a broad range of clients (private, local, state and federal government);

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal;

  • Agile approach – always looking for the best outcome on each project;

  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills which are fresh, professional and tailored to each audience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Journalism, Communication/PR or Business (or similar);

  • IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation (highly desirable)

  • Proficient in Consultation Manager (CMS) or similar;

  • Previous experience in coordinating community consultation events;

  • Some flexibility with travel in short stints from time to time.
