AECOM’s Construction Services group are currently for an experienced Administration Assistant to join the Easing Sydney’s Congestion Program from a busy Parramatta project office. This will be a fixed term contract to start as soon as possible, initially lasting until 30 th May 2020, with a potential view for extension.

The Administration Assistant will be responsible for the daily operations and administration of the Program to support the Easing Sydney’s Congestion program goals and objectives.

The Role

The role of Administration Assistant will support busy Construction and Engineering teams in both Administration and general office support tasks, ensuring teams are sufficiently organized and maintain operational practices for our State Government client.

Easing Sydney’s Congestion program is genuinely shaping Sydney’s road infrastructure network for the future and requires an Administration Assistant to be capable across various support functions. These support functions will include managing and organising weekly and monthly meetings/morning tea, recording PPE, new starter packs, organising training, lodging survey results, and participating in research or reporting when required.

The suitable Administration Assistant will have a proven ability in an Administrative or Coordination role, with a background in working across a variety of IT systems to record information and data across various project groups and committees. This role will be proactive and work closely with Roads Maritime Services, Transport for New South Wales, State Government, as well as AECOM Engineers and Project Managers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Administrative or Office Support role (2 years+)
  • Excellent customer service skillset and confident in communication (verbal and written)
  • Ability to assist executive level reporting for Easing Sydney’s Congestion Program Office
  • Prior exposure to admin support such as; management of pool car usage, monthly and weekly minute/action taking and registration of various record keeping
  • Ability to maintain and manage various project org charts in line with structural or hierarchical changes
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations as well as support multiple and varied projects in general administration support
  • Evidence of minute-taking and generating actions from meetings
  • Highly developed communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Data entry and maintaining database information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative related qualification at any level (not essential).
