University of Adelaide

The Healthy University Wellbeing Program aims to provide University staff with access to a range of health resources, including detailed and specialist information from external agencies.

You can also find information on:

  • Plus much more.

You'll also be able to attend events aimed at promoting health, such as the Global Corporate Challenge (external link), Tour Down Under (external link) and City to Bay.

University Health service

University Health is a General Practice clinic located at our North Terrace campus.

It provides comprehensive and confidential health care to all students and staff in a friendly and comfortable environment.

A comprehensive range of services are provided, including:

  • health checks
  • immunisations and vaccinations
  • women's health
  • drug and alcohol counselling
  • contraception advice
  • sports medicine
  • skin care and travel medicine
  • grief and bereavement counselling
  • weight disorders, obesity and bulimia
  • psychotherapy/counselling

Employee Assistance Program

The University supports staff and their families by providing access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP provides free short-term counselling to employees and their immediate family.

Fitness & recreation

Stay fit and meet new people by getting involved in the many fitness activities enjoyed by University of Adelaide staff and students.

The University Sports Association has 37 sports and recreation clubs throughout the University - you may even like to start your own!

The University also offers gymnasium facilities on campus at The Fitness Hub (external link), including free weights, cardio equipment, and classes such as aerobics, yoga, cross training and dancing.

You'll also have access to the University's extensive playing fields and indoor facilities at a variety of locations (external link).
