Kimberlee Green

Starlight Ambassador, World Champion Netballer

Starlight Children's Foundation

As a NSW Sutherland Shire junior, Kimberlee started her netball journey at the age of eight going from grassroots to green and gold with selection into the Diamonds Squad in 2005. Since then she has represented Australia with 74 test caps to her name. She has captained both the NSW Swifts and the Australian Diamonds and is a Commonwealth Games Gold medalist.

Kimberlee is a valued team-mate both on and off the court, and is a firm favourite amongst netball fans. She was awarded consecutive NSW Swifts Members' Player of the Year awards from 2011-2014, as well as winning the 2010 NSW Swifts Players' Player Award.

In 2013 and 2014, in addition to the Members' Player of the Year, Kimberlee won the QBE Most Valued Player accolade.

Kimberlee was drawn to Starlight because of the wide variety of programs for sick kids and teens and says the importance of social wellbeing on overall health really resonates with her.

I had heard so many great things about Starlight, I knew it was something I would want to be a part of. I love that they have so many different experiences and programs that help young kids and teenagers who are going through really tough times.

With fun and fitness in mind, Kimberlee and her mum will be starting line favourites at the Starlight RBC Race for the Kids in October and Kimberlee and cricket-star husband Trent Copeland also supported Starlight's recent Urban Stars event in Sydney.

The netball star brings her energy, enthusiasm and positive outlook to her new role as a (Green & Gold!) Starlight Ambassador. As a student studying counselling, she also has a keen interest in the research and evaluation that underpins Starlight's programs.
