We have a basic purpose here at REA; to empower people by making property simple, efficient and stress free. How do we do this? By recognising that knowledge, collaboration, connection and creativity are vital to our success, and that our competitive advantage is drawn from engaging those qualities in each and every one of our employees.
From humble beginnings in a garage in Melbourne’s east in 1995, we have grown into a multinational digital advertising company.
Listed on the ASX, we now operate residential and commercial property websites in 12 countries across 4 continents.
How we work
As we’ve grown to interact with customers and consumers at every point in the property process, we’ve had to continually re-organise ourselves to best meet these needs. We’re structured in four Lines of Business; Residential, Commercial, Developer & International, and Media & Property Related Services, with each of these supported and enabled by our Consumer & Brand team and our core business functions.

Developer & International
This is almost two in one. Our Developer team work with property developers to promote their Projects/New Homes through a suite of world class display and classified media products. International is responsible for all of our brands outside of Australia, figuring out what we do well and how that could work in our international markets – and vice versa!
Media & Property Related Services
This Line of Business exists to connect our customers and consumers on everything that’s almost property related. Need a home loan? Need insurance? Want your utilities connected? This is the team that makes it happen.
