My Career:

”Stepping into new roles has provided opportunities to learn new skills and gain a broader perspective”

I’ve had a varied career background before starting with NSW Treasury in 2010, including work as a graphic designer, laboratory assistant, and potato picker. However, for the last 15 years I have been working in the field of employee relations.

During my six years at NSW Treasury I’ve had some great opportunities to learn new skills and gain a broader perspective on how our work connects with and influences working being done in other parts of Treasury and Government more broadly. These learning experiences were further embedded after completing a recent secondment to NSW TAFE.

All of these opportunities to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders has provided me with a greater understanding of wider experiences and perspectives and this in turn better enables us to provide effective solutions to current issues.
