Mars Australia named one of Australia’s Top 10 best places to work for the third consecutive year.

The people behind some of Australia’s favourite brands including WHISKAS®, PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN®, EXTRA®, SKITTLES®, M&M’S®, MALTESERS®, MASTERFOODS® and DOLMIO®, are celebrating today after Mars Australia was named one of the top 10 best workplaces in Australia for the third consecutive year.

Matthew Foster, General Manager Mars Australia, Royal Canin shared how proud the organisation was to be ranked #5 of businesses with 1,000 or more employees, according to the newly released 2019 Great Place to Work® Study.

Mars is truly a unique company and we’re so excited to be recognised as one of the country’s top workplaces.

“We are family-owned and our 2,000+ Mars’ employees are more than employees – we are Mars Associates. This means we believe in a relationship of mutual trust, dignity and respect and our Associates can share in the financial success of our business.

“We allow our Associates to live their passion for pets with our pet-friendly offices and sites. We also have a real focus on developing our Associates through diverse projects, including local and overseas volunteer opportunities,”

“While this is a fantastic result, just like our well-loved brands, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and improve and taking part in this study is one way we can do this,” Matt Foster said.

Great Place to Work Australia Managing Director Zrinka Lovrencic said, “It is companies such as Mars which will not only retain but also attract the most committed and engaged team members during this tight labour market period,”

Great Place to Work® is a widely recognised, comprehensive, annual study that recognises the 50 ‘best in class employers’ nationally. Focused on workplace culture, the study benchmarks businesses against a series of engagement indicators which include trust, pride in work and colleague camaraderie.

The results of the survey, conducted among Mars’ employees in Australia, highlight the unique Mars culture of promoting employee development and well-being.
