Lander & Rogers

Lander & Rogers is committed to developing a culture and business which supports the undertaking of pro bono work and other similar initiatives in the community. We value our pro bono clients and staff contributions are encouraged.

Lander & Rogers has a significant firm wide pro bono program in place. We focus on matters of access to justice, social inclusion and community service work.

We prioritise our assistance to:

  • matters that are in the public interest
  • marginalised Australians - whether directly or through the organisations which support them. We particularly aim to assist with matters involving human rights and/or which address the disadvantaged position of Indigenous Australians.

Our work in the community is diverse including assisting a number of different not-for-profit organisations or foundations, community groups, humanitarian and/or aid organisations and environmental groups at a local, national and international level.

Our program includes:

  • pro bono legal work
  • volunteering and secondment opportunities
  • fundraising campaigns and educational forums
  • work place giving.

The firm's pro bono legal work is referred from Justice Connect, the Human Rights Law Centre, Community Legal Centres or directly from organisations and individuals. We have long standing relationships with many and varied Pro Bono clients.

Our work has included:

  • litigation
  • property law
  • employment and workplace advice
  • family law
  • Human Rights Charter work
  • corporate and commercial advice
  • Sentencing Act and Victims of Crime compensation
