About JLL

Jones Lang LaSalle

At JLL, we continue to evolve and change to create new markets and be a global leader in real estate. In 1999, the merger of Chicago-based LaSalle Partners and London-based Jones Lang Wootton formed Jones Lang LaSalle, a New York Stock Exchange publicly listed company.

LaSalle Partners, founded in 1968, was a fully integrated real estate services firm who took a “best-in-class” approach and modelled their professional culture after some of the most successful financial investment firms of the time. Their client-centric approach was instrumental in defining what made them different from other real estate companies, and success followed.

Jones Lang Wootton was established in 1783 and emerged as the real estate industry’s first firm staffed with professionals, not brokers. As licensed Chartered Surveyors, they approached the industry with a fresher view than their contemporaries at the time. Becoming a global leader, they were the first real estate company to launch offices throughout Asia Pacific.

Building on Jones Lang Wootton’s international strength in Europe and Asia Pacific and LaSalle Partner’s depth in North America and its position as an investment management leader, JLL has emerged as a blending of two companies with service excellence across many borders. Our financial strength and pioneering culture ensure our success in both mature and developing markets. Today we are a US$1.4 billion company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and are the only real estate firm to be names in the Forbes Platinum 400 list.
