Volunteers

In 2013 GE Volunteers donated around 21,000 hours to diverse community events in Australia. We enjoy a culture of volunteerism. Employees are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities during work time. In Australia and New Zealand this ranges from managing and running fund raising events for the Women’s Cancer Foundation, through to helping Ardoch with local school programs and planting trees with local councils.

Solving Environmental Challenges

Our ecomagination initiative is about making technologies that are better for the environment and financially sensible – sustainably solving environmental challenges. Ecomagination proves that financial and environmental performance can work together. Our environmental technologies are helping solve some of the world’s toughest challenges. From the energy technologies of clean coal, wind, solar and gas turbines, through to aircraft engines that are 15% more efficient, to the latest water reprocessing solutions. Our ecomagination technologies help make the world a better place every day.
