Curtin University

We provide all types of services, from the essentials to the nice-to-haves.

Curtin Stadium

With a main hall large enough to accommodate three full-size netball courts, Curtin Stadium also houses a fully equipped gymnasium staffed by fitness professionals. Offering very competitive membership fees, the centre operates seven days a week. It provides a fantastic range of cardio and weights equipment for people of all fitness levels. The centre also caters for athletes and clients who have special needs as a result of injuries or disabilities.

The main hall area also features motorised, tiered seating capable of seating 2,500 people for ceremonies, graduations major addresses and music events.

Healthy Lifestyle Program

We organise a number of activites throughout the year as part of our Healthy Lifestyle Program. We aim to promote fun activities and encourage participation during the work day to help our employees maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Food and catering

There are a number of retail outlets on campus that provide almost everything you will need whilst working at Curtin. The range of services include:

  • STA Travel agency

Food choices at the Bentley campus include cafés, canteens (two of which offer halal food) and a tavern that regularly stages live music. There are 10 food outlets at the Bentley campus.

Guild Associate Memberships are now available for Curtin Staff. Associate Members receive discounts at all Guild operated food and retail outlets as well as many other offers.

Childcare

The Curtin University Early Childhood Centre is a not-for-profit business on the Bentley campus, staffed by experienced, qualified carers.

The centre offers a high number of places for children aged less than 2 years in five nurseries. There are also two groups for 2 to 3 year old children and two groups for 3 to 5 year old children.

Children on campus

We understand that you may sometimes find it necessary to bring children onto campus. As a supervising adult, you need to be aware of your rights and responsibilities in keeping with our Child/Children on Campus procedures.

If you wish to bring children on campus, you need to first seek permission from your supervisor.

Counselling and disability services

To make sure you maximise enjoyment and minimise stress, we have a comprehensive support network on campus.

Employees at all Curtin campuses have access to professional psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists who can assist with personal counselling issues.

Health services

The Health Services Centre incorporates a doctor's surgery where staff can make appointments with either a doctor or nurse. The service is confidential and offers comprehensive general practice medical care. Nursing staff are also available to assist in the treatment of accidents and injuries that may occur on campus.

Bookshop

The Curtin University Bookshop stocks a wide range of textbooks, stationery, newspapers, magazines, novels, cards, art material and computer equipment. It's also an outlet for Transperth Smartriders and Ticketmaster tickets.
