About Me

For me, diversity is more than a buzzword! Adapting to completely new surroundings is something I learned quite early in life. Even though moving wasn’t always easy, I was dancing samba when I was 7, at 12, I was used to ordering dinner in French, and it wasn’t before I turned 15 that I got an all-German education in Bavaria. Next to the language skills and competencies I learned, I still benefit from my experiences in Brazil, France, and different areas in Germany: It is enriching to be open to completely new ways of thinking and acting. I love diversity and the challenges it presents.

My BASF

At BASF in Marketing, it is my job to plan the short and medium business for products within responsibility. As a product manager in the Industrial Petrochemicals division, I create European product strategies and marketing concepts that in turn help open up business opportunities in close cooperation with the sales department, supply chain, production and quality center. My tasks in marketing are very diverse and range from business controlling and pricing to strategic aspects, such as regular market and competitive analyses. In addition to the variety of activities, the topic of diversity plays a large role in my professional life regarding the cooperation in a European team.

My Qualifications

During my studies in business chemistry in Münster I had the opportunity to get to know BASF as an employer, thanks to various internships. In 2009, I was working for purchasing in Ludwigshafen, afterwards I was given the opportunity to go to BASF Corporation in Florham park for an international internship. BASF’s global presence, the quality of the team work, and the development opportunities convinced me that I wanted to start my career at BASF. After writing my diploma thesis at BASF Coatings in Münster, I was offered the opportunity to join the purchasing department – and I didn’t hesitate for one second. After three exciting years in Procurement and Logistics, I have just started working in Marketing for Industrial Petrochemicals.

My Interests

Next to Zumba, traveling is my passion. All I need is a backpack and my husband, and then I’m off to the other end of the world. If I’m not on the road, you’ll find me at choir practice or on a hiking tour through the Palatinate area.
