Senior FP&A Analyst

Reporting to the FP&A Manager this role supports the delivery of the annual budget cycle, rolling forecasts, long term planning and business reviews for the Vocus EGW division. Working alongside the EGW leadership team, this role will provide insightful reporting of business performance and play a key role in aligning business strategy and financial objectives. The Senior FP&A Analyst will assist with business case development and facilitate robust business decision making processes. 
 
The day to day

  • Preparation of Monthly Business Review for Technology ($150m cost pool / $70m Capex / 500 heads)
  • Preparation of monthly BU P&Ls, headcount reporting and capex reporting for the Technology division
  • Preparation of analysis and financial commentary
  • Preparation and analysis of business cases for the Business including commercial review
  • Budgeting and Forecasting – quarterly rolling 12-month forecasts
  • Long-term strategic planning – assisting the development of 3-5 year strategic plans
  • Development of budgeting and reporting tool – Adaptive Insights
  • Integral part of Vocus Group Reporting function – assistance with the preparation of:
    • Monthly Board Reporting
    • Investor Presentations
    • Operational Financial Review (OFR)
    • Half Year and Annual reporting
    • Monthly Cashflow & Net working capital reporting

What you will bring to the table

  • Chartered accounting background preferably with experience in the FMCG / Telecommunications / Technology industry
  • Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to leverage technology to improve the robustness of financial models and improve the user experience
  • Strong accounting and commercial business skills with a thorough understanding of the annual planning and quarterly re-forecasting cycle
  • Strong relationship building skills with expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and able to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritise key tasks and flexibility in managing multiple/conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience communicating with, and presenting to, diverse stakeholders, including regional operations and national management roles, with strong oral and written communication skills
