Business Analyst

As the fourth largest Telco in Australia, Vocus Group continues to grow and we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst.

The day to day

  • Work with internal technology teams, potential suppliers or vendors to develop business justification, proof of concept or feasibility assessments to assist in the definition of technical solutions that may assist in driving operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Accountable for project concept proposals, feasibility assessments, solution artefacts and initiatives
  • Support the operationalisation of new technology, products and services in the business
  • Working with project stakeholders to gather and document detailed service migration requirements, new infrastructure builds and other technology operations functions
  • Facilitating Inception, Estimation & Planning and Retrospective sessions
  • Produce use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria and diagrams as needed to clearly define and communicate systems requirements
  • Mentoring other staff as appropriate to enhance their skills in documenting requirements and acceptance criteria

What you will to the bring to the table

  • Experience as a Technical Business Analyst ideally with proven hands-on experience in telecommunications or other related industry
  • Knowledge of VoIP, networks, data centres, service operations, system operations and infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large teams to develop their functional competencies through process improvements environment
  • Solid foundation of Agile Delivery, across all practice disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in identifying 'as is' and 'to be' infrastructure, system and data requirements
  • Technical skills in process modelling (including experience utilising BPMN or LEAN principles) and data analysis and modelling
