Brand and Communications Manager


This role leads the brand and communications team and is responsible for leading Commander brand and marketing communication activities spanning awareness, consideration & prospect demand generation activities. Working with a range of stakeholders, the Brand & Communications Manager is responsible for brand management, marketing campaign development and execution and marketing efficiency in line with Commander's business plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Management
  • Define and manage brand positioning and supporting guidelines in order to drive awareness, consideration & purchase intent
  • Establish a tracking framework that provides measurement and supports ongoing optimisation
  • Campaign Development
  • Oversee production/management of marketing campaigns, including key advertising and media supplier relationships
  • Maximise impact of campaign messages across the path to purchase
  • Liase with affiliate partners to generate sales leads
  • P&A budget management
  • Management of Commander marketing budget across both working and non working activities aligned to Commander's business plan
  •  Integrated Marketing plan
  •  Contribute to an integrated marketing plan for Commander through the leadership of a communications campaign calendar aligned to the target audience and key business objectives
  • Develop quarterly comms plan across media and communications
  • Execute the product roadmap to maximum sales impact
  • Performance monitoring
  • Deliver reporting requirements to measure the effectiveness of ATL campaign activity
  • Customer value proposition development
  • Define and manage brand strategy, proposition and proof points to drive competitive differentiation, consideration & purchase intent

Skills:

  • 10 years experience in brand/communication roles either agency or client side working on services sector accounts (telco/energy highly desirable) including detailed knowledge of marketing theory and application in consumer markets
  • Previous experience leading teams of marketing professionals
  • Sound judgement and ability to effectively navigate new situations, including commercial negotiations
  • Excellent customer focus and ability to influence and manage executive client needs to deliver the right outcomes
  • Highly proficient communication skills to clearly articulate messages to an executive audience
  • Ability to drive to achieve outcomes in an ambiguous and often changing environment, across a senior stakeholder group
  • Customer insight and value proposition development
  • Commercial acumen – experience managing budgets, establishing reporting frameworks and driving ongoing optimisation in line with commercial objectives
  • Well developed project management and problem solving skills
