Accountant

As an Accountant, you will work within our Financial Control team which is responsible for the accurate and timely recording and reporting of the financials for each of the divisions within the Group. You will be responsible for supporting the Financial Control team in the areas of technical accounting and practical management reporting during the month-end analysis of results. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounts while also liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.

The day to day

  • Preparation of month end results and accounting accruals
  • Financial analysis of results against budget/forecast
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting packs
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and adjustments
  • Continual involvement in process improvement initiatives across the group finance team
  • Support the other accounting team members with ad hoc requirements
  • Assist with Finance project work

What you will bring to the table

  • CA/CPA qualified or in progress
  • 2+ years’ experience in a medium to large sized business
  • Solid technical skills
  • Strong computer and Excel skills
  • Quick learner with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while staying positive, enthusiastic, and exhibiting a ‘can- do’ attitude to work
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal & written, with the ability to interact with people across the organisation
