About the role

Reporting to the Business Support Manager and providing a service to more than 1,100 employees, the Payroll is a function within Business Support and is responsible for end-to-end payroll including; taxation, superannuation, salary sacrifice, and processing of timesheets (manual and electronic) and the delivery of advice/ reports to managers and employees.  

Working autonomously, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high quality payroll services to managers and employees encompassing the processing of pay and legislative organizations.

Other core functions that are facilitated and included but not limited to in this role will be:

  • Full function payroll processing.
  • Candidate to prepare and process fortnightly and monthly  payroll and undertake transactions relating to Centrelink PPL and Child Support Payments.
  • Administration and payment of PAYG and superannuation.
  • Update and maintain associated employees and payroll records and assist managers and employees to related payroll queries.
  • General Ledger reporting, journals and reconciliations.
  • Month end processes and related financial reconciliation and  monthly payments including processing EOM payments to the superannuation clearing house-Quick Super.
  • Processing and reconciling end of month employee deductions.
  • Completing PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation payments and ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Liaising closely with internal HR and Finance departments.
  • Ad-hoc payroll duties tasks to support the Finance and HR department.
